The Vigyan Bhavan building
Vigyan Bhavan is a premier convention centre of Government of India in
New Delhi. Built in 1956, over the years it has been the venue of
conferences of national and international stature, seminars and award
ceremonies attended by distinguished world leaders and dignitaries.

It is strategically located in one of the most beautiful areas in New
Delhi next to the Vice President's Estate and India Gate. Overlooking
lush green lawns, it is in the walking environs of Gallery of Modern
Art, the National Museum, and other sites of tourist interest.

The main feature of the complex is the Plenary Hall, with a seating
capacity of over 1200 persons. It also has six smaller halls with
capacities ranging from 65 to 375 persons. The building also has an
Office block for on-site offices / secretariat / documentation centre
etc., a Business centre, an Exhibition hall, and a separate Media
centre in the annexed building.
