There are talking weighing machines. First type works for 0 to five K. g. and tells the mass in KG/Grams. Second is for the body mass and tells only kilograms up to 200 KG's.

Dear friends, Today a friend of mine happened to share with me a very striking idea. There are many of our visually impaired brothers who are doing different types of businesses including groceryshopes. Now a days, they are forced to seek external help for weighing things, as the weighing machines are not really accessible. However, if we can make such machines accessible through Screen readers, they can make wonders. I would like to know whether any research is done in this sector and any productive result has been accomplished. Other wise, i would strongly recommend that we must chock out some plans to initiate some such programmes to give accessibility to such traders. Please share your suggestions and commends here. regards -- Habeeb C. Vice President Kerala Federation of the Blind.
