Dear NVDA users, developers, third-parties and supporters around the world: What a Thanksgiving dinner it will be: NVDA 2014.4, featuring enhanced speech dictionaries, browse mode changes and host of other changes is now live. Besides new options in speech dictionaries, 2014.4 includes ability to restart with or without add-ons (contributed by a user in Bulgaria), ability to press next/previous edit field command in browse mode to move to edit combo boxes, revised braille tables and other braille enhancements. Please follow this link to learn more about 2014.4: http://community.nvda-project.org/blog/NVDA2014.4Released In addition, here's a sneak peek at what's under the wraps in 2015.1: * Navigation quick keys in Word and HTML messages in Outlook: NVDA's much loved browse mode is coming to Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Outlook (in case of Outlook, for reading HTML messages). Those using the next snapshot series will be able to take this on a test drive soon, according to Mick (and don't use snapshots (especially next) unless if you are really curious about testing bleeding-edge alpha code). * Case-sensitive find in browse mode: This feature, authored by the author of this message, will let you search contents of a browse mode document and tell NVDA to honor case sensitivity. Some ideas floating around: * QWERTY input on braille displays equipped with QWERTY keyboards: This means you can type text and perform NVDA commands using your braille display's QWERTY keyboards (this will benefit our braille user friends including those using products such as BrailleNote QT, Braille Sense QWERTY models and others; work is under way for certain products by a developer in Europe). * Support for EuroBraille: A user in Spain is coordinating this feature. Thanks. Enjoy NVDA 2014.4 (and to my friends in America, enjoy your turkey dinner). Cheers, Joseph Clean India Campaign: Let us also chip in!
