Certainly, Indian blind cricketers played very impressively and have made the entire nation proud. It was pleasant to read the Dawn Newspaper today which tagged the headline: 'India dethrone Pakistan'. It would be nice if people in Delhi could converge at Airport to offer a resounding welcome to players on their arival. Organisations working for the blind can come together at this historic moment and pull out a large crowd to welcome our players. this would further put pressure on the BCCI and the government to not only give deserved incentives to the players, but will drive the nation in a celebratory mode on a macro level. Cricket and cricketers are worshipped in India and blind cricketers who have lifted the Cup for the first time should get the well-deserved affirmation and acclamation. I wonder why blind people are not on roads in different parts of the country?
