Hi,

1. Grab the *.pst file in Outlook. It contains your contacts and e-mail
messages. This assumes you are using pop. If you are using IMAP, then you need
to backup a different file. See slipstick.com for details.
2. You can copy the file to any location on your computer and point Outlook to
that file.
3. As for favorites, copy the favorites folder under your user profile and copy
it back once you upgrade.
4. I cannot comment on outlook's account settings.

Subject: [AI] Migrating to windows 8.1

Dear listers,

Soon I wil be migrating to Windows 8.1 from win7.

I would like to know how to back up favourites from internet explorer and
mails and contacts from MS outlook 2007 for future use/reference. Is it
possible to back up account configurations as wel?

And also let me know how to restore this data in windows 8 and office 2013.

Thanks.
