Hi All
hope this may be good for you, any questions, please write to them directly!!.
wish you all the best.

kanthari is an inclusive leadership course for social entrepreneurs, change agents and social visionaries.

Now, many people would say: "wait a minute! Don't you need vision to be a visionary?" We believe that A VISION, a dream is enough and we strongly believe in the potential of visually impaired to contribute to society. Here a few examples of kanthari graduates;

Take the case of Ojok Simon, a bee keeper from Uganda who started a bee cooperative to train blind and partially sighted from all over east Africa in bee keeping, environmental care and agriculture.

Anja Pfaffenzeller from Germany, a blind high-school teacher who quit her job to come to kanthari to learn everything she needs to know to start and run her project to empower blind children in Northeast Brasil

Yoshimi Horiuchi, a book lover from Japan, founded Always Reading Caravan. (ARC). ARC set up and is running a library and two early childhood literacy centres in the rural areas of Northern Thailand for all, including those with disabilities.

Or Sristi KC from Nepal, a dancer who became blind with 15. No one believed that she could continue with dancing. She now uses all the skills she learned at kanthari to run "Blind Rocks", a mobile workshop that empowers blind worldwide through dance, fashion and adventure tours.

When I became blind many years ago, I had a dream that one day the world would not connect blindness automatically with charity. I wished that we, the blind, would one day be seen as contributors and problem solvers. At kanthari we are interested in incubating problem solvers, future leaders for ethical social change. And we are especially interested in empowering talented, creative and energetic blind and partially sighted visionaries who come up with innovative ideas that make the world an equal level playing field for blind and sighted alike.

In order to reach this goal we have developed a very practical, 7 month leadership program with a difference; one that is geared specifically towards people with big dreams and passion; people who have overcome adversity in their lives, people who want to help others in their struggles, or develop new solutions for our world problems.

We invite participants from all over the world, and with all levels of education to share their dreams and motivation; Some have started their projects already or are running functioning organisations. Some have never had experiences in establishing a social venture. International experts (catalysts) conduct hands-on, practical workshops to help bring those dreams to reality.

At kanthari there is no difference between blind and sighted participants. Everyone is equally treated and everyone works hand in hand. What counts is an ethical attitude towards people, life and work, a lot of energy and commitment to contribute to society and a vision, an innovative idea how to solve old and new problems. We are looking for those who have the strength to be forces of good, not victims of circumstance.

Do you want to be part of this highly creative network of kantharis, social visionaries from all over the world? Please apply at <http://www.kanthari.org/>www.kanthari.org/
