Hi Payal, Why don't you want your son to use of phone to write to you? I ask because you get a piece of software called do it right for an iPhone which allows you to learn handwriting. The difference being that you are drawing the letters with your fingers and not with a stylus or a pen. The native handwriting input on the iPhone is also accessible and that may be something you want to explore.
I realize that this will not help you in leaving sticky notes on the fridge or in checking his written work but it will help you teach your son how to write.
