Friends,
I have found out another method to login to IRCTC web site in this you don't
have to solve the captcha nor you have to have an OTP + you don't have to
remember your password.
Step 1: go to IRCTC web site and Press enter on Forgot Password.
Step 2: In the Edit box type your User name.
Step3: Give the answer to your security question.
Step4: go to your email ID and get the password. {Don't close the website to
go to your email id}.
Step 5: go back to IRCTC page where you left before going to email. And hit
enter on {click here to login}
Step 6: enter your user name and password which you have received through
email and hit on log in.
You will be successfully log in to your account.

When you create your account on IRCTC, I believe that one knows all
the information filled up by self. Agreeing with this assumption, say
for instance, myself knows the telephone (Mobile Number) entered by me
to receive the alerts from IRCTC.
Sometimes, user can have thinking that we can have the option to use
the alternate mobile number to receive the temporary OTP. Based on
this assumption, reply was posted. Hope this clarifies my views. If
not kindly revert back again.
Thanks,

hello,
just a little correction. its check box which you have to check if you
want
to receive the OTP on your mobile. after checking this box and filling up
the user name and password press enter on submit button.
doing so page will be open to enter the OTP received on your mobile.
if you are not getting the OTP, press enter on resend OTP option. if you
still does not receive the same, then make sure that you are using the
mobile number as registered in the profile of IRCTC.
thanks,
