Dear friends We feel a sense of joy in sharing with you that a well known disability professional and activist, the founder of Mitra Jyothi, Ms. Madhu Singhal was conferred and Honorary Doctorate for her work in the disability sector, by Bijapur University, Karnataka. To our knowledge she is the first visually impaired person of the country to have obtained disrare distinction from an Indian University.
The above Honour is indeed a fitting recognition of Madhu' s dedication, hardwork and achievements over last 25 years.
