Hi,

C is heavy to digest. Even Ruby is good. Ruby is an outcome of Python and Perl. HTML is a markup language and not programming language.

Hi,

Several intro programming courses start off with Python. It has a
pretty simple syntax, and so one can concentrate on the logic (which
is far more important than any syntax). There is a lot of online
documentation available for the language. MIT OCW also has the
recordings from its first introductory CS course.

Hope this helps.
Best,
