I am half sure he must have gotten a better deal. Never mind such guys. Move on. But in case you need to do something about it, say like sharing it in media, even for that, I think you should have his ‘no’ reply in writing or in mail. You can still go to media if you have a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), an agreement signed generally at the time of token payment. And buddy, buying a house was very enriching experience for me too. So invest time and have more than 3 shortlists. You will feel confident to negotiate and won’t feel cheated. Last one, if at all you really want that house only then offer him to do the actual agreement with your dad or bro or anyone. You will still be able to raise funds as a co-applicant.
