hello,
I have used Iball clickscan a3 scanner having 5 mega pixel camera.
It's image quality was also good. Only you need to bit play around
it's menus while navigation as when you open the software, you have to
press alt key in combination with the other keys like for file menu
you have to press alt plus f and so on. I have tested this scanner on
my friend's chamber once. It costed her around 13000. I have
triedapplying OCR through fine reader 12 on the captured images with
this scanner and the results were satisfactory.

If you do not wish to use the scanner mostly in travel that is
portability is not the concern for you, then I recommend you to look
at the plustek optibokk 3800 which is specifically meant to scan the
books. The good feature of this scanner is that it even goes inside
the edges of the binding and eluminates the distortion that can occur
due to binding. This will cost you around 20000. you can use the
licence fine reader 12 which costs around 13000. the combination of
this plustek and fine reader will be the best option in my view
considering the options I have used so far.

Can not comment on lexcam as I have not used it so far. Yet since it
is mainly designed to suit the needs of the blind people, might be it
is the ideal one.
Thanks,
