Silver Linings is delighted and proud to kick off Project Dignity on 21st June Sunday 2015 from the current Silver Linings office at: 164 B, Pocket A Mayur Vihar Phase 2, Delhi 110091. Time 11 am. To 2 pm. We invite you all to be a part of the project . Women interested to join in are requested to drop a mail to "Preeti Monga" <[email protected]>, or Aditi Bhutani [email protected]. We also invite women to be the resource persons for the same , do let us know of your interests. Brief about Project Dignity: Mission of Project Dignity is just what the name suggests! Dignity is the birthright of all humans, yet somehow some of us have to struggle to live with it! Especially true for women/girls with visual impairment! Project Dignity is here to bring together women/girls with vision impairment to learn and to teach all that is required to blossom and further enhance skills and personality development techniques, to help us to automatically become the world's most desirable and valuable citizens! Our Vision is to achieve true freedom and complete independence and nurture ourselves to be able to live life to its fullest and on our own terms! Agenda for the first session: Introduction: A brief introductory talk as to the mission and vision of Dignity and how we see it going forward: by Preeti. This will be followed by an open discussion and Q and A by all present. Sharing of ideas and thoughts as to what else could we do to make Project Dignity more useful for all. Session on Personality Development: By Preeti: here we are going to discuss points that are commonly noticed and set us apart from the mainstream society. We are going to just list out these points and later follow up with what needs to be done to successfully remove the same. Please note: we will be joined by experienced and skilled visually impaired women/girls, who will be helping us facilitate this session. Here our resource persons will be taking up various topics and working with participants over the same till success is arrived at. Cooking classes: Here too our resource persons will be deciding via open discussion, as to how they wish to move forward with these classes. We will take stalk as to where we need to begin, and a beginning will be made with practical classes in Preeti's kitchen. Ms. Aditi is going to be the chief coordinator of this project, assisted by Preeti. As the sessions progress, we will be honored to be joined by resource persons and leaders who will help us take this project forward by actively supporting various activities and helping Project Dignity to drastically uplift status of visually impaired women and girls!
