Sir,
After careful consideration the ministry of Road Transportation has formulated
the guidelines for the above categories of personnel and has recommended that
the following categories be completely exempted from toll tax at all the toll
tax barriers through out Indio.
1. All the member of regular armed forces, (Army, Navy, Air Force).
2. Members of Territorial Army and NCC when moving on duty.
3. Family members of regular and irregular Armed forces personnel,
when accompanying them. as well as carriages and animals when moving under
military authorization.
4.All the vehicles/personnel accompanying the Armed forces personnel
as a group
5. All the Physically Disabled persons having disability greater
than 4&70 (carrying certificates of disability)
6. Vehicle carrying a Physically Disabled person / persons.
Further action into the matter may please be taken and all concerned
authorities may please be briefed for implementation of the above order
effectively at the grass root level to reach the beneficiaries,
It may please be noted that the above guidelines are to be followed strictly in
true letter and spirit to ensure that none of the people mentioned above face
any hardship / harassment at the toil barriers country wide - as has been
reported by newspapers). Any violation of the above by the contractors / staff
manning the toll barriers would be viewed seriously and very stringent action
would be taken - (may even lead to cancellation of the contract.)
