Dear Friends, We are pleased to announce that Mitra Jyothi in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. – Maitree, is organizing the 14th batch of Advanced Computer Training Center (ACTC) for Visually Impaired. The training will be conducted in the premises of Mitra Jyothi at Bangalore. This will be a 40-45 days residential training program and will commence on Monday, 3rd August 2015.
*About Mitra Jyothi: * Mitra Jyothi is a registered Charitable Trust formed in 1990. This trust is working for visually impaired and other persons with disabilities in their Education, Training and Employment. At present our activities are as follows: 1. Talking Book Library to provide educational and general books in accessible formats. 2. Basic and Advanced Computer training. 3. Braille transcription centre to provide Braille books and Braille tools. 4. Independent living skill training to the rural women with visual impairment. 5. Job placement service. *About TCS Maitree:* TCS-Maitree has pro-actively worked towards providing an inclusive environment for the differently-abled. TCS Maitree believes that people with disabilities offer incredible reserves of untapped potential and an alternative talent pool. *Eligibility Criteria: * 1. Graduate in any stream. 2. Candidates should have basic knowledge of Computers 3. Knowledge of JAWS (screen reader software) is compulsory. 4. Good Communications Skills *We request nomination of suitable candidates for this training program.
