Hi,

The Windows notepad works nicely for note taking. However, if you want something
more feature rich, look at OpenOffice version 4 which is quite accessible. If
you need to take short notes, you may want to consider using the leasey product
from http://www.hartgen.org. 

You may also consider using one note from Microsoft. I believe jaws
configuration files are available for this product.
