Dear Mukesh sir I hope the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in India is seriously working with the Finance Ministry and the RBI to provide Indian currency in accessible formats to the blind. Our Government in the July 2014 budget promised us to bring notes' embossed with Braille. However we are yet to hear any development in this regard. This article published in the Washington Post on (18/6/2015)gives us enough examples from different countries which have found the ways to ensure accessible currencies' to the blind. Please go through the report and share with other officials in the department. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2015/06/18/the-big-change-to-the-new-10-bill-that-no-ones-talking-about/) I hope India will make strong headway in making its currency accessible to us within 2 years at the latest.
