Hi, As a follow up to my last email in this list about making Mumbai a disability friendly city, I want to inform you that I, along with few other people including XRCVC are working with Mumbai Transformation Support Unit, to submit a recommendation to the MCGM relating to the section dealing with Development for the Physically Challenged in Mumbai DP.
Ofcourse implementation is a separate issue, and we should take it up once the DP is passed. For now, I would like to take all suggestions and opinions of anyone and everyone to make sure we are able to make a decent draft. We are referring guidelines of Delhi and other cities around the world. However experience of local residents is most important and that is something we would not like to miss. So please give me your suggestions. I also need help, reaching out to groups of other disabilities, to seek their suggestions. It would be great if any of you can help me do that.
