Hello, Java and java script are 2 different thintgs. As Raju said, u need not to be worried about JAWS and java script, it can be written in simple text editer, and then be embedded in web page. for tutorial, try w3 school or www.tutorialspoint.com also has some good resource for the beginner for various scripting and programming languages.
Java is a programming language, can be coded using notepad, notepad ++ or any such text editors, or through integrated development environment such as eclipse and netbeans. you need not to think of java for now.
