Very good initiative By the government. But it is little disappointing that MSJE, government of India removed a catagory of "best accessible website" from National award for empowerment of persons with disabilities. this recognition was encouraging for government, corporate and non government organizations for making their web portal accessibility compliant. However the nominations ware very less.
Instead they have added "best organization with barrier free environment". In this catagory they have not asked any information about web services and information system's accessibility. Barrier of information systems is equally important as built infrastructure accessibility.
