Dear Kiran, I am in marketing.
Firstly, you identify your core competentcy, identify the industry and then try to develop your skills accordingly. To tell about marketing, it is a very wide spectrum. It has got marketing research, marketing channels, retail marketing, wholesale marketing, competitive marketing, customer service, sales promotion, advertising etc. Marketing is all about maximising customer value through the 4 Ps (product, price, place and promotion). These 4 Ps are collectively known as marketing mix hence it is very interesting and challenging. One has to adopt subtle aggression else it can lead to dooms day. -- "Good friendship is like the relationship between eye & hand!
