Not knowing what your query looks like exactly (and if
you need to know or want to share it click the SQL
view when in designer mode) I can only guess at what
it might be doing.

First as you stated your common field is "Customer Id"
this means you may have to alter the queries so that
this field shows up in the end queries.  From their
you can use the query designer and instead of
selecting tables you select your two queries and build
it from there.
