You might need to set a Flag within this subroutine that allows you to bypass the normal rules for the combobox but without seeing the whole picture its kind of hard to guess at what the problem might be. Since the problem is only partially due to this subroutine but as my suggestion points out the problem maybe within an event of your combobox that you are not accounting for.
