There are so many ways to do that here are three that I prefer to use
(*these are used after uuencodeing the parts*):

1. combined vi dos copy
    a. copy /b filename.001+filename.002+.....+filename.nnn filename.zip

    b. create Zero length file : i- copy con filename.zip
                                           ii- ^Z
        for %1 in (filename.*) do copy /b filename.zip+%1 filename.zip
2. Via Norton commander
    a. i- Highlight them all
ii- Press ^[F10] to merge them
        iii- Select name and destination

    b. i- Highlight them all
ii- Chose from The {file} menu Split/Merge
        iii- Select name and destination

3. Using Windows commander
i- select the first file of them filename.001
ii- from {file} menu select combine
iii- select the destination and keep the filename as suggested
iv- rename the file filename.out to filname.zip

Subject: Cmd [file] driven emailer ??

Hi,
as a spastic I'm relying on automating away those routine
chores which Win95 has newly created to keep users happily busy.

Thus, I'd like to know of something like a Win95 clone of the UNIX
"mail" program.

Specifically, I'm looking for a mailer
- able to load prepared text files into the body window
(if there's no way to start it from the cmd line w/ params)
*and*
- accepting cmds (interspersed in the body text) for:
reading a file, inserting its contents in body text;
setting a subject,
giving the signature.

In addition to this, my provider requires POP3 standard.

Where to download such a mailer ???
Where to get info about mailers to choose from ??
TYVMIA,

U. Klemm, [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Example: This text has been sent by the cmd:
   mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] <tpk

Subject: wwwmail question

Dear All,

I am using www4mail to receive Web documents as e-mail attachment, and I
can visualize it by Internet explorer. In WWW4mail help document, it say "
You can obtain interest messages by selecting the respective buttons and
clicking the `Get Selected Document(s)' button at the footer of the Web
page to make a new, single e-mail request to www4mail".
It is very good tool, but how to do this when I am using Lotus Notes on
server?. It should automatically make a new single e-mail from Lotus Notes,
instead of Microsoft Exchange Services.
Thanks in advanced

Subject: LZH and TOS binaries

Hi all,

I have a small problem with mail downloading binaries by mail servers
for system I use. I have an ATARI computer and a most of archives for
this system is in *.LZH format or in a special, self extracting
archives *.TOS.

The problem is with the dowloading those kind of binaries if their size
is larger than 800kB.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] restrict to fetch it, their size limit is 800kB,
www4mail cannot recognize *.LZH and *.TOS binaries and always send it like
ascii.

Have you any suggestions, or is here any Atari user with some experience?

Thanks for the answer in advance

Subject: Re: I,m looking for info about all LISTSERVs in INTERNET

Hi,
There are currently 22,041 public LISTSERV lists known to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Without a search string, the listing generated by the LIST GLOBAL command would be over
66,000 lines long and add up to an estimated 2204k of data. So you should use a search
string to limit the size of the file that will be returned to you. For instance,
"LIST
GLOBAL CHEM" will return a description of all the lists related to chemistry (lists
whose
name or topic contains the string "CHEM"). You can also search for LISTSERV lists
through
the "CataList" interface at http://www.lsoft.com/lists/listref.html.
Bye,

Francisco

If you have been on this list for more than 1 month you should know
that [EMAIL PROTECTED] only delivers web pages as is. There are no
options whatsoever. You cannot retrieve binary files which includes
images.

In my http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/1236/servers.html
listing you should see this:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] <http:// only> - returns HTML code ONLY

In the www4mail Experienced Users manual is this note:

Most of today's Mail User Agents (MUA) are windows based or have
the ability to
call a helper application automatically for processing attachments
with the use of
MIME. For HTML documents this could very well be a standard Web
browser.

Similarly, most browsers either have a MUA built in (Netscape or
Lynx style) or can
start one as needed (MS-Internet Explorer or Lynx). Using this
feature, a Web
browser can be used to request for a document from an e-mail to WWW
gateway.
But without the use of graphics, such a page could look as complex
as the search
pages for some search engines such as Altavista.

Using www4mail requires the User

to configure his computer's MUA and Web browser with his
e-mail address.
to configure the browser with the ability to send information
back to the MUA.

www4mail has been reported to work using the following combinations:

   UNIX:
          Netscape Navigator & Pine
          Netscape Communicator & Internal Mailer
          Lynx & Pine

   MS-Windows 95/NT:
          Netscape Communicator & Internal Mailer
MS-Internet Explorer + MS outlook (using XBYJS option!)
          MS-Internet Explorer + Eudora Light/Pro (using XBYJS
option!)
          MS-Internet Explorer v4.0 (after Nov.98) + MS outlook

  Mac:
          Netscape Navigator & Eudora Light/Pro

Note: An alternative on the Windows 95/NT involves the use of
HTTP2mail. For
more details -see section Using HTTP2mail for Windows 95/NT 4.0 or
later.

I got screwed by this because I used OS/2 and it wouldn't work for
me. As you can see, everybody is catering toward M$ and if you use
something else you are out of luck.

The HTTP2mail program involves another layer of software and screws
you again.

HTTP2mail is a Windows 95/NT Freeware program that lets you use a
standard
Web browser to navigate the Web throughout an e-mail - only access
to the Internet.

HTTP2mail lies between your Web browser and your e-mail client
software,
exchanging mail with the web-mail servers available in the
Internet. It captures the
Web requests sent by the browser, formats them in a web-mail
understandable
format, and uses your e-mail client to send the request. Then, it
monitors your inbox
looking for web-mail responses and retrieves and stores them on a
cache. It serves
dynamic pages that allow you to manage the cached content.

HTTP2mail comes configured by default to work with "Agora" Web mail
gateway.
But you can select a different web mail gateway, or introduce a new
one, by using
the HTTP2mail Properties page. You can use www4mail, which is
compatible with
"Agora" and "GetWeb" options. Special requirements:

TCP/IP protocol stack installed (If you have an Internet -
mail account, you
     should have it installed).
     MAPI-compliant e-mail client software.
     Proxy-enabled Web browser.

HTTP2mail binaries (2,568,693 bytes) are available at:

   ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/win95/webbrows/h2m20.zip

The current version of HTTP2mail is unable to visualize retrieved
images or content
type other than HTML. It may be necessary to disable automatic
loading of images
by the browser.

It appears as though M$ doesn't need Redmond Washington anymore, as
most of clueless
developers work on behalf of M$ and do their work for them.

Welcome to WebGather's auto help system!

YOU CAN USE YOUR EMAIL TO SEARCH THE WEB AND THE NEWS GROUP!

In your letter body, you can use the following keywords to indicate the
purpose of your message: "help", "word", "codetype", "expectsum",
"logic", "region", "method", "display" etc.

"help" is to let the dameon send you a help letter like this one.

"word" is the string you want to search in the Web or Newsgroups, you can
seperate your phrases by any number of white spaces, but you'd better keep
its total length within 80 characters, and type it in a line.

"codetype" is an optional keyword, if you have a Chinese Platform and want
us
to give you the response in the encoding type compatible with yours, you can
tell us by it. The current choices are "GB" (Chinese GB code), "BIG5", and
"HZ". At the same time, this is also an code type for your "word", if you
type Chinese characters in the "word" area. The default codetype is "GB".

"expectsum" indicates how many articles you can afford to receive during
one searh, but unfortunately, if you require a very large number, we can't
complish it, because the usual e_mail has a length limitation.

"logic" is the logic operation such as "And" "Or" etc. you want to use
while search the "word". "And" is default.

"region' is the area from which you want to get your results.
       "Web" represents WWW (default)
       "News" represents Newsgroups
"All" includes both the WWW and the Newsgroups

"method" is the matching method for "word"
"Exact" is the alphabetical matching (default)
"Fuzzy" means you can take use of our intelligent matching service

"display" is the outlook of our responsing letter,
"Standard" will present each article with title, author, abstract,
length, weight, and its URL. (default)
       "Compact" will omit the abstract.

=============================================================================
===
EXAMPLE:

help
word:\261\261\264\363
codetype: GB
expectsum: 100
logic: And
region: Web
method: Fuzzy
display: Standard
=============================================================================
===

!ATTENTION:

the order of the keyword is not important, but the keyword is case-sensitive.
all the keywords are optional except "word", if you didn't put this keyword,
the letter will be viewd as a normal letter not a query letter.

please make sure that every keyword occupsies ONE LINE! be careful to use
RETURN
