I think that you are overexaggerating here. Almost all his messages to
Help-Net do not contain sarcasm, and the few that have (happens from time
to time) do not aim at a specific person.

I also never got a complain about any of his messages. Nor that I expect
it to happen.

I use "digest reader", I think there is a version on simtel. It is a 16
bit windows program.

win3/inet/dr_189f.zip B 98539 960408
        MS Windows mailing-list-digest reader

No system settings changes, just put it in a directory of its own, and
add the exe to one of your folders.

 Directory of H:\APPS\DIGEST

DIGEST EXE 89,440 04-08-96 12:01p
DIGEST HLP 51,783 04-08-96 12:04p
DIGEST INI 590 03-25-99 7:31p
README TXT 3,780 04-08-96 12:08p
CMDIALOG VBX 18,688 04-28-93 12:00a

Is this small enough for you?

I do not know where ".id" is, so here is the non US subset. Just append

Hi,

That's it. What I need is not a email client, but only a program for reading
accmail digest in text format.it's like accmailreader.exe ( but I don't like
this one ).
I need a SMALL which can be extracted in a folder so I can removed it easily
anytime.

Hi!

I have seen some request in the past asking if there were any free
web-based email services which also offer POP downloads via popular email
client software like MS OutLook Express, Eudora etc. Those interested may
find a few of these at:-

I have tried (twice) to download files via http://www.emailfile.com but on
each occasion after being informed that the files had been put in a queue
and would be sent in 20 minutes they failed to arrive. In each case the
address I gave was a correct one to an ftp site.

Has anyone had experience with this site, and with what result.

I never mentioned a specific person. I just said that his sarcasm and
biting comments can now be found on HELP-NET rather than ACCMAIL.

OK, maybe "almost all" is not quite accurate, but I'd hate to compile a
listing to find the exact number. The point I was trying to make is
that he still continues to do this.

Just because you haven't received a comment about his messages, doesn't
mean that I didn't receive any. Maybe a different type of person
inhabits HELP-NET and they don't take offense. I cannot predict the
future as you seem able to do by stating that "you don't expect it to
happen".

Subject: Microsoft Interenet Explorer 5.0 Crashed my system too!

I tried to install IE5.0 on my laptop, and it totally trashed my
system. I had to reformat the hard drive and reinstall all my
programs. This took weeks to do as I also had my hard drive compressed
and couldn't figure out how to reformat it.

While I am sorry to hear Gerry Boyd had the same problem as I did, maybe
it should serve as a warning to those who are planning to install IE
5.0.

Don't do unless you can afford to lose everything.

I have used it before. To make sure it still works I visited the web
page and sent a request for one of my files. I received the results
when 6 minutes so I can say is that it works for me.
