Subject: Infobeat Problem
Hi,
I'm subscribe to the Infobeat e-mail services and since last week I'm
receiving incomplete e-mails of the News Afternoon Edition. I haven't found
an e-mail address of the Infobeat administrator in order to ask for this
problem. I would greatly appreciate to know if anybody are subscribe to this
service and have the same problem as me, or if it's a problem in my e-mail
server.
Thanks in advance,
Francisco

Hi!
I too have used Interbot with some success. However, I know nothing about
writing service files - and you will have noticed that some of those which
come with Interbot need modification. Could any one send me service files
to enhance the powers of Interbot and up-dated service files too?

Subject: Virus-related questions
AccMailers,
I should be grateful for your advice on a messy virus
situation. It's a bit off-topic, sorry.
1. Can you recommend a good virus scanner that runs on a floppy?
- My hard disk is not operational.
- I now have McAfee (old) and F-Prot (partial) on a floppies.
2. Is it ok to format a hard drive that probably has a virus
in the MBR? - Or what else can I do?
State of the hard drive:
- McAfee had said there may be a virus; F-Prot had detected
nothing; then
- I did a complete wipe with Norton--so now the drive is
not formatted; then
- I tried to break the partitions (C + D) with Fdisk but
got a message saying there may be a virus. So I stopped.
Any help would be much appreciated, especially on #2.
/hs

That's because the graphics are not embedded in the text, they are in
separate files to which the html links.

The readme file in the .zip file states that the document is the

You can't... You must get the images separately...

You have to get the images separately...
The XIMAGE command is used to provide you with the link name of the
image. That is is you want a web page and want to know the links to the
images, you send www4mail a command like:
XIMAGE
URL of the page
You will receive the web page and the links to the images. You would
then request the images (5 at a time) from the ww4mail server...

McAfee Virus scan DOS version runs on a floppy.

You need an uninfected boot floppy disk. This should have:
COMMAND.COM
SYS.COM
AUTOEXEC.BAT
CONFIG.SYS
FDISK.COM or FDISK.EXE
FORMAT.COM or FORMAT.EXE
SYS.COM
and the hidden files for DOS and BIOS.
You make these from within Windows or DOS.
You then boot the computer from the uninfected boot floppy disk and
then immediately run an antivirus program or you can boot from the
uninfected floppy, reformat the drive, and then run sys c: to install a
barebones system on the hard drive. The barebones system will allow you
to reboot the hard drive.
If you have a decent version of DOS (not the Win 95 one) you can format
the drive with the extra parameter /mbr which installs a new Master
Boot Record.
