Subject: Problem with some binaries and www4mail

Hello.
I was trying to request a binary (.zip) file trough the www4mail server
[EMAIL PROTECTED], and I got the file (about 111Kb), but when I
tryed to open it, Winzip tolds me that the file was corrupt. So I opened
the file with MS-DOS Edit program (binary mode), and I saw... an html
header before the binary... Well, the last few characters at the html
header were mixed with the binary (I mean, I could not figure out what part
of the file was the html and what the binary). At the end of the file...
the same story...
My questions: Is there a bug in the www4mail server? Or it's my fault? If
it's my fault, what happened? How can I delete those headers?

Once again, thaks for your cooperation.
                                        Legolas

Use [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Binky will break the size if needed for Juno.
Binky will also encode it if needed for Juno.

Thanks for the help. I have tried that address and if it doesn't work.
I will try the anonymous remailer.

Actually, I was trying to uuencode and I think that ran it over. I did
get it though through Binky.

Now, I have a new question. I have tried to get MP3 files and WAV files
by accmail by uuencoding them and both times, I got all the parts and
decoded them and the files haven't worked. Am I to assume that you can't
uuencode sound files or can you and I have just had bad luck?

Can't really answer all these questions but I can give you a clue to
how some file types begin.

All .exe programs betwen the uppe case letters "MZ" hex (4D 5A) and all
zip files begin with the upper case letters "PK" hex (50 4B).

The MZ is for Mark Zbikowski the Microsoft programmer who wrote most of
the code for the EXE header format. The PK in zip files is for Phil
Katz the programmer who wrote the PKZIP program.

Everybody knows who Bill Gates is, but MZ appears in all PC .exe files.

Well, I wrote that and got:

Do you have any idea of what is wrong? If you do, please could you let
me know?.

Thanks.

You missed it. June 1, 1999 rolled around and last years archives were
deleted. On June 1, 2000 all of 1999 logs will be deleted.
