You might like to take a look at

Viewhtml

This is the information from its "readme.txt" file

Name: VIEWHTML Quick HTML Viewer
Version: 2.5
Category: Internet Utilities
Author: Kevin Solway

Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
WWW: http://www.ozemail.com.au/~ksolway/

don't know if you can download it just be email methods
but it is small and very good

I use it mainly to test my webpages to ensure they read OK
in text-browsers
but it might also suit your purpose.

Gidday all,

Is [EMAIL PROTECTED] down? I've sent a 'few' requests and none of them
have been fullfilled.

I also notice that the FTPMail, Agora, etc. statistics for 14th Aug doesn't
list it either.

I found the iliad service to be quick and nicely formatted information.

Thanks in advance
Chris.

Sciseek is a search engine for science related websites. Other search
engines may be (far) more comprehensive, but Sciseek does provide
quite some browsable science categories. Interesting stuff and no need
to fill out forms.

Subject: Getting receipt of mail on ACCMAIL paused / restarted on
         "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"

Hi Gerry and all its been a while since I was on the list.

July 1999 saw me get one of those summer time flu's that seemed to take
on a life all its own.

My question is regarding getting mail stopped / restarted for ACCMAIL to
my account for a time without having to un-subscribe / re-subscribe.

In looking other the output of a command of "INFO REFCARD" to
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" I see the following command.

SET listname options Alter your subscription
options:

Mail/NOMail -> Toggle receipt of mail

So if I understand this command correctly I can suspend receipt of mail
from the list if I go on vacation via a "SET ACCMAIL NOM" or "SET ACCMAIL
NOMAIL" in the body of a message to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".

Then I wish to start getting mail from the list again I send a "SET
ACCMAIL M" or "SET ACCMAIL MAIL" to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".

As a reminder to all don't type quotes then sending to
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]". It's simply used here for readability.

It looks like a easy to remember command. Wouldn't it be quicker and
easier to use rather than doing un-subscription to leave the list for
just a short time?

Remember send these and all other commands that control receipt of your
ACCMAIL account to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" and not to the list
itself.

In the Belgium fido-area 'INTERNET.B' I have read that the gating of
z2.fidonet.org is down at the moment.

If you don't want to write a macro for your favourite word processor
that will to it for you, try the LYNX-Browser. LYNX is a text-only
web browser that has this function built in. Available for a
multitude of platforms, including windows.

That is exactly what these commands are for. All listserv mailing lists
support them.

SET [listname] NOMAIL - go on vacation, don't send me any mail
SET [listname] MAIL - I'm back, start my mail again

Subject: Java environment

I use a browser at work. I am protected against remote Java by a
firewall at a central location on the WAN. I have wanted to access a
certain site which apparently requires Java activation. On my local
workstation I have activated the Java provided by Netscape which allows
me to access help resources. The site I want to access causes Netscape
to report "Starting Java" and then Netscape freezes. Our office uses
Windows NT, which places a premium on properly exiting from an
application. Getting out of this freeze costs me 3 to 5 minutes for
Windows NT to shut down.

Not all Java sites cause this problem. I would go to the public library
to see if their terminals would access this community college site, but
they are closed on Saturday for the summer. So I tried agora twice and
failed twice, while agora successfully accessed a different site. Does
agora fail from encountering Java, or is it simply that someone else is
accessing this popular site at the same time?
