I use Mr Cool for getting web pages through email. I am looking for some
other similar programs. Could some body please tell me what other
options are available and where to get those from?

I just used it yesterday and it is fine. The web page
retrieval portion is only for Juno users. The local files
and search portions are available to all. Web&Files bot
only deals with the subject line.

In general for servers try the following mail to get help:

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: HELP
Body:
HELP

If that doesn't work try adding 'GET' or 'SEND' before 'HELP'
Then try using lowercase, then try 'get' or 'send'. If the
server is not a .org, .com, .net, .edu or other generally
English speaking domain try to send the command in the
language of the domain. Example .mx, .es use Spanish, .pt
use Portugese, .cn use Chinese.

Cross-posted: ACCMail, JunoACCMail, Help-Net

I have created a new list to help support the users of
Interbot. To subscribe to the list send an e-mail to:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

As with other Onelist, lists a digest is available by
sending an e-mail as follows:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Of course you may sign-up and make changes at the
Onelist website.

The purpose of the list to discuss the Interbot program.
You may share service files, problems, discoveries,
gripes, praise, etc.

For those who don't know, Interbot is a utility program
that helps the user format e-mail request to servers.
It can ease the process of accessing the Web through
e-mail. And it also can help with repeated requests.

For the interest of ACCMailer's, this list was created
and settings were adjust _solely_ using ACCMail methods
through a service that doesn't allow attachments or
messages above 64K.

Privet (Hi), :)

http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois?STRING=domain.com

Above works for .com, .net, .org domains (only top level: domain.com,
not www.domain.com). Same for .ru domains:

http://www.ntua.gr/cgi-bin/rwhois?srv=whois.ripn.net&name=XXX.ru

Sometimes traceroute also helps:

http://bs.mit.edu:8001/cgi-bin/traceroute?XXX
http://www.missing.com/trace.cgi?XXX
http://www.dimensional.com/cgi-bin/nph-traceroute?XXX

XXX can be either domain name (any level)
or IP address, so you needn't to know domain name.

Sometimes nslookup helps:

http://sitka.triumf.ca/cgi-bin/nslookup?XXX

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a map (in GIF format) from www.
mapquest.com using email only methods?

Thanks,

Bob
