Try Gophermail.
But note that GopherMail can not fetch a particular chunk.
Doubtfully you have a mailbox space bigger than 46MB (34 mb+35% for
uuencoding). Chances are (N+1)th chunk will arrive too fast and you will be
late to free your mailbox from N-th chunk.
If you loose one chunk you have to start all over again!

If your mailbox is small you will have to stay constantly online not to miss
the moment when next chunk arrives. But this way you gonna spend more online
time (or close to that) than if you dounloaded the file with you browser. Is
the game worth the candle?

Note 2. GopherMail is not free from some bugs. As it is originally designed
for gopher:// protocol, successful downloading from Http sites is not
guaranteeed. I know one website (others can mention more) where Gophermail
stably fails.
