Somewhat belatedly, I'd recommend to you that you dry-run the QA of a release before you hold a vote.
It's just much less work and noise to send mail to the dev list, or even to general@incubator, saying: Here's a prototype release from us, could people have a look and criticize before we tee up an actual vote for a release?
