Subject: [Acegisecurity-developer] addition to acegi: granting permissions/acls

Ben and other Acegi developers,

I'm writing this email to inquire whether all of you would consider it within the scope of Acegi to define certain processes for actually granting permissions to principals.  In particular, ACL stuff.  In AclManager, we have methods to obtain ACL permissions, but I (as far as I've looked) have not seen any methods or processes to plug in functionality to grant permissions.

I was thinking about it today, since I need to write some code to allow us to manage the permissions for our principals, and I am writing it as a separate addition to our code, but I am wondering if this kind of thing should fit under the Acegi umbrella. (or at least attempt to generalize it somewhat).

Thoughts?
