Hi Michele,
I did exactly what I was planning to do and it has been working extremely well. Both Win and Ubuntu are now working as dual booting with no problem. cheers, Augusto Date: Fri, 2 Nov 2012 23:42:43 +0100 From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Acertimeline] Ubuntu in ACER 5830TG Hi Augusto, how was at the end your experience? I'm running 12.04 Kubuntu on a 3820TG, and almost everything works fine. Only problem is the ATI card that cannot be switched but only turned off. But I've got really good autonomy and it's a great laptop! I was wondering if someone in this list has had some experiences (good, bad?) doing this. I'm planning to partition the hard-drive from Win 7 (using disk 'shrink') are there problems/dangers doing this? Thanks for any help you can provide.
