When you boot the system with the lid open, what does state say? # cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID0/state state: closed 2. When you then press the lid button down (or actually close the lid and check the state from a serial console or network connection) what does state say? # cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID0/state state: closed 3. when you release or open the lid, what does state say? # cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID0/state state: open I dont't think I have the same problem, because after I closed the lid once everything is working perfectly fine.
