This is with SLE10-SP1 (2.6.16 based kernel with the patch from comment #180) applied. It still could be something else, maybe it's even not ACPI, but it sounds related (possibly when battery and thermal info is accessed at the same time or simlar?). I try to have a look at that machine tomorrow.
