Summary: 2.6.20.4 kernel works badly with my Fedora,it might have
                    BUG on ACPI
    Kernel Version: 2.6.20.4
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocking
             Owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
         Submitter: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Most recent kernel where this bug did *NOT* occur: 2.6.18-1.2896.fc6(Fedora
Core 6)

Distribution: When I unlock the LCD monitor, the brightness of the monitor will
change itself to the highest level automatically.
*Note*:I built and install this kernel from source tree with gcc 4.1 version
and some relevant gnu tools.

Hardware Environment: IBM ThinkPad R52, Model Type:1846-5EC, Processor:Pentium M
(Dothan)1.73GHz, ATI Mobility X300, Intel 915GM chipset, 768M RAM ,LCD Monitor:
Generic 1024*768(maximum) 60Hz

Software Environment:Fedora Core 6(updated),Gnome Environment

Problem Description:I compiled this kernel successfully from source tree with
gcc 4.1 and other GNU tools. Running this kernel, when I unlock my unlocked
screen within Fedora Core 6, the LCD monitor changes its brightness to the
highest level automatically.
In fact, the kernels since 2.6.19 work with this BUG.I think it might have
something to do with ACPI ,maybe others.

Steps to reproduce: Every time when I unlock the locked screen, this problem
turns up. *NO* abnormity ! So this is a strong BUG.
No steps to be done to fix this bug on my own since I even can not be sure if
this has something to do with ACPI or something else.
