There is nothing in the release notes about ACPI, but I thought I'd give it a crack anyway. Wouldn't you know it... acpi-cpufreq loads fine, detects the frequencies available, and scales the clock speed. Even Windows no longer needs the Notebook Hardware Control app to scale the clock speed.
