I don't know if this will help; I used to boot *.20 kernels (pb r1938) with
acpi=force irqpoll, and all worked, both wireless and usb; well actually the
wifi driver was buggy, but the HW was working; with *.22 kernel from gutsy now
IRQPOLL is unbearable, the system is slow as hell, so I have to choose between
usbs and wifi...
