------- Comment #22 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-12-17 08:08 ------- 1) Noted. however... I also tried the video module, and with that I can not achieve actual change in brightness. I am currently running 0.18-20071203 on kernel 2.6.23.11 Indeed if I do *not* use "brightness_enable", it does not provide a brightness interface. 2) I have tested with the video module. I switched to init 1, loaded the module (unloaded thinkpad_acpi just to be sure) and tried the brightness buttons. They do seem to give a signal registered by the acpi interface (used acpi_listen for that) and that signal is also correcly coupled in acpid events, but no actual brightness change happens. 3) See above. 4) I noticed that Kmilo is not very useful. I just use it to connect the thinkpad button to a program of my liking. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
