------- Comment #31 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-01-07 01:23 ------- I am giving partial answer, and will provide the complete answer later and let other people impacted by the issue confirm/complete the answer ... - BIOS : In fact except Time and Date there is almost nothing you can parameter, so nothing related to fan and temperature control in BIOS 1.18 - 64 bits : No /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/.../temperature does not get updated and fan state never change : it stays OFF if T°C < limit at boot time and stay on if T°C > limit.
