That BIOS update doesn't come up when i enter the model ID of my Thinkpad (8932-A13) directly into the Lenovo support page, so i hadn't found it when i'd looked previously. I've applied this update and it appears to have fixed the problem. So far, bluetooth has been enabled for 45 minutes and the RHS USB ports are still working - with no kernel message about disabling interrupt.
