------- Comment #49 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-02-04 13:48 ------- I am using the 32 bit kernel 2.6.22-14-generic compiled by ubuntu on my Aspire 7720z with bios version 1.19 and are experiencing the same problem after a hibernate or suspend. Only on first boot the TZ1 temperature in /proc gets updated regularly but after suspend or hibernate the temperature get updated once on startup resulting in a fan that is always on max speed or worse overheating processors. Maybe it is unrelated but it seems pretty similar. Looking at the bios dsdt code I find the ThermalZone _TMP method confusing ECON seems to be initialized but not set and DTSE seems to be initialized to 0x00 or are these registers updated directly by the hardware? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
