------- Comment #30 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-03-05 05:24 ------- Created an attachment (id=15151) --> (http://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=15151&action=view) dmesg output with DSDT from comment #29 and after pressing the backlight button several times Hi Yakui, I've found the reason why at first I thought that the backlight buttons don't work. Actually, they work but only with 10 brightness levels whereas with acpi=off there are 21. The 9 lowest levels seem to be right but at level 9 pressing the increase button lets the display get the maximum brightness. However, /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/actual_brightness shows the correct values. They are between 0 and 100, pressing the backlight keys dec-/increases the value of 5. So the wrong behaviour starts at a value of 45 where the backlight is set to the maximum. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
