Dennis: Yes, it works! I tried it against the current linux-2.6 git tree. With
this patch the laptop behaves exactly like with your modified DSDT (no strange
ACPI messages or similar).

To me this also seems like a good workaround. But as I am an even bigger ACPI
noob than you, I'll better leave this assessment to the experts. :-)
