[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REJECTED |CLOSED ------- Comment #6 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-07-11 01:20 ------- Hi, Zhang I got my laptop up and running again. It was a hardware issue with the battery that is now resolved. I reinstalled linux with a complete 64bits environnement : kernel and userspace. Then I moved to a 2.6.26-rc8 kernel and blacklisted the asus-acpi driver so that asus_laptop module get loaded at init time. Setting the backlight now perfectly works and the settings are kept after a reboot. The kernel version is the same. I suppose it was a asus-acpi or a software issue. Thanks for your help Regards, Jonathan -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW!
