You are right, the thermal module doesn't seem to be loaded with the older
kernel.

I use a Debian kernel witch I do not modify.

  orval:~# cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.6.22-2-686 (Debian 2.6.22-4) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version
4.1.3
20070812 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.2-15)) #1 SMP Fri Aug 31 00:24:01 UTC 2007

I'm sorry but I'm not good enough to compile the kernel myself :-)

After other answers, I moved all acpi modules

  orval:~# ls /lib/modules/2.6.25-2-686/kernel/drivers/acpi/

freeze

My motherboard is an ASUS P4V8X-X
I made last Debian upgrade for 2.6.25 kernel.

Sorry for beeing so late but debugging is quite un-easy for me. I'll be more
reactive these
days.

Thanks for help.
