This problem it's due only to another ACPI vs i8042 conflict (like the above one regarding the PS2 mouse). Maybe this issue is related with the hardware/BIOS. But as this is a very old machine model, maybe there is no available BIOS to be upgraded. Poor hardware, poor people.
