Hello folks, Just wanted to note that mine Compaq 6715s with 32bit AMD Semperon
CPU have the same problem. Adding it to the blacklist in
arch/x86/kernel/acpi/boot.c solved (at least this) issue.
I guess the whole 6715x series is affected... buggy HP hardware.
