------- Comment #10 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-10-13 20:30 ------- Thanks for testing 2.6.27. Have you tested both with and without the inclusion of "use_alt_lcd_levels=1" when loading the fujitsu-laptop module? If not, could you please test the case you haven't covered yet? If 2.6.27 still doesn't work it may be worth waiting for 2.6.28-rc1 since that's when the afore-mentioned IGD patches will be in (AFAIK). Collectively this should do a much better job of controlling backlights on class-compliant machines. Note that the brightness control methods implemented by fujitsu-laptop cover those machines which use non-standard methods to control the backlight. I don't know whether your laptop does brightness in the standard way, but if it does there's a good chance 2.6.28 may work better for you. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
