Thanks for testing 2.6.27.

Have you tested both with and without the inclusion of "use_alt_lcd_levels=1"
when loading the fujitsu-laptop module?  If not, could you please test the case
you haven't covered yet?

If 2.6.27 still doesn't work it may be worth waiting for 2.6.28-rc1 since
that's when the afore-mentioned IGD patches will be in (AFAIK).  Collectively
this should do a much better job of controlling backlights on class-compliant
machines.  Note that the brightness control methods implemented by
fujitsu-laptop cover those machines which use non-standard methods to control
the backlight.  I don't know whether your laptop does brightness in the
standard way, but if it does there's a good chance 2.6.28 may work better for
you.
