------- Comment #7 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-11-02 17:10 ------- Created an attachment (id=18599) --> (http://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=18599&action=view) output of dmesg with modified DSDT, after plug/unplug adapter test cat /proc/acpi/event shows nothing when unplugging/plugging the AC adapter. This is the output of dmesg after booting in speed mode (nvidia video card), while using the custom DSDT, and after performing the cat test. I'll recompile a kernel without the custom DSDT, reboot in stamina mode (intel video card) and repeat the same in that mode, but I doubt very much anything will be shown. How is it possible that files under /proc do show the proper state of the ac adapter and the lid switch, but sysfs doesn't? Is it a difference that proc asks the state when the file is accessed, while sysfs depends on the state being reported by the hardware? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
